Expert Jeff Swanson Joins NSSF Range Action Specialist Team
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Jeff Swanson has joined its Range Action Specialist Team.
Swanson is an owner and co-founder of Wilshire Gun, an Oklahoma City-based full-service firearms retail and indoor shooting facility for handguns and rifles that includes shooting lanes to 101 yards, handgun, rifle and full-auto firearms rentals and an in-house café, among other amenities. A lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in litigation and real estate and business development consulting, Swanson is also the Managing Member of NexGen Range Consulting. The firm provides a wide array of advisory services, including opportunity analysis, business plan formulation, facility design and construction, organizational policy and procedure mapping, inventory management, retail design, merchandising and branding.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Jeff join our Range Consultant Team,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Manager, Shooting Promotions. “His knowledge of what it takes to create and maintain a successful and safe shooting facility cannot be overstated, and that’s something that will bring unprecedented value to our range members, particularly those in the startup stages.”
“I am honored to be selected by the NSSF to join its Range Action Specialist Team,” said Swanson. “We are finding success in offering an a la carte menu of services that allows our clients to choose what services they want at the time they need it, and I am very excited to share my experience as a next-generation range owner and operator with NSSF members.”
NSSF’s Range Action Specialist Team provides a number of services intended to help current range members improve their facilities, as well as guide those seeking to establish new shooting ranges or expand their current operations. Team members can make on-site visits to work with range owners on a variety of subject matter, including best management practices, OSHA evaluations, safety improvements and even provide advice on handling legal issues such as neighborhood complaints, land encroachment and environmental regulations. NSSF also provides financial assistance to those NSSF range members seeking to take advantage of this particular member benefit.
