NSSF®, the firearm industry trade association, is working hard during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure our members are able to continue to do business.
Lipsey’s President and CEO, Laurie Aronson, recently gave praise to NSSF’s efforts to deem firearm industry companies as “essential businesses.”
“NSSF is the first to step in when there’s really any kind of disruption in the industry,” said Aronson. “In this case, with the COVID-19 pandemic that’s been going on for months, the NSSF once again stepped to the rescue right from the very beginning.”
Aronson highlighted how the “essential services” designation has allowed manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors to keep up with increased demand and companies like Lipsey’s have been able to continue to supply firearm retailers around the country that directly serve the needs of law-abiding Americans. She said, “Because NSSF stepped in during the pandemic and all of our retailers and distributors have been able to stay open as deemed businesses, we have been able to take advantage of the fact that consumer demand is still so high and we have been able to supply all of our retailers at this time.”
Aronson’s greater point is we’re all very tightly connected in this industry and we’re all in this together. While NSSF is here to serve the industrys as a whole, our voice is only as strong as those who directly support us.
To Lipsey’s and all of our members, we salute you. To those still on the sidelines, we’re waiting to welcome you—because if not now, then when?
Lipsey’s was formed in 1953 as a wholesale hunting and fishing distributor. Today, it is one of the largest independently owned, single location firearm distributors in the country. Lipsey’s prides itself in their relations with retailers as well as top firearms manufacturers.
