8,000 Firearm Retailers Have Attended Seminars
The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the National Instant Criminal Background Check System recently concluded a national tour of their jointly sponsored Firearms Retailer Seminars. Venues for 2010 were El Paso, Tex.; Anaheim, Calif.; Harrisburg, Penn., Marietta, Georgia; and St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minn.
The seminars are designed to help federally licensed firearms retailers (FFLs) keep up with the latest regulations and changes related to their businesses. A total of nearly 600 retailers attended this year’s educational sessions, with an average attendance of 119 retailers per seminar. Over the years, more than 8,000 FFLs have attended 70-plus seminars held nationwide.
