SCTP has established a grant program to assist
SCTP state directors and coaches with registration costs for
SCTP-approved coach/instructor training classes. Applications
will be accepted from April 1, 2008 through January 31, 2009.

SCTP Stars Shoot for Gold
 Two former SCTP standouts will represent the United States at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Corey Codgell has claimed the sole women's trap spot, and Vincent Hancock, 2007 World Cup record holder and Pan American Games gold medalist, will represent the U.S. in skeet.

Rules Prohibit Squad Changes
Requests for squadding a team member to a higher division cannot be accommodated this
season.
Incomplete Squads May Participate in State Events
State directors may combine "incomplete" squads together to shoot at state championship events but these squads may not be considered for awards or prizes. More.
ATA Sweepstakes to Continue in 2008
The Amateur Trapshooting Association has announced that its ATA Sweepstakes will continue in 2008 due to great success last year and support from GMC. The program will be offered again to participating clubs, associations or SCTP Teams. Learn more.
SCTP Encourages Multi-Discipline Participation
SCTP athletes who meet participation requirements for a discipline
(see SCTP Handbook)
are allowed and encouraged to participate in other
clay target disciplines sanctioned by the Scholastic Clay Target
Program.
