HomeAboutTool KitThink TankAdvisory Panel

This Web site provides state agencies and their partners with research-based, user-friendly tools to help create, enhance and evaluate recruitment and retention programs for hunting and the shooting sports.

This ground-breaking effort to recruit and retain hunters and target shooters, was developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, in partnership with the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies (AFWA), and supported through a grant from the Multi-State Conservation Grant program under the Wildlife Restoration Program.

Best Practices ensure that recruitment and retention efforts are the best they can be.

A Best Practices Toolkit is available to help design and implement effective programs or assure that existing efforts are effective, and includes:

  • Best Practices Workbook
  • Trainer's Guide
  • Fact Sheets
  • Audio-Visual Presentation
