NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) is pleased to announce that Stuart, Florida, company WMD Guns has joined the growing number of companies sponsoring NSSF’s Rimfire Challenge program. Coming in as a Silver Sponsor, WMD Guns specializes in high-tech, high-quality metal coatings and surface treatments for firearms and related accessories.
The NSSF Rimfire Challenge, formerly known as the Ruger Rimfire Challenge, focuses on competition with .22-caliber rifles and pistols. The program was designed to introduce new shooters to the shooting sports in an exciting and family friendly way. Open to shooters of all ages and abilities, Rimfire Challenge matches are conducted on a host of ranges nationwide. These extremely popular matches culminate in the Rimfire Challenge World Championship, being held this year Oct. 3-5, at the Old Fort Gun Club, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
“We’re very pleased that a company as unique and customer-service driven as WMD Guns is joining the list of industry members supporting the Rimfire Challenge,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Manager, Shooting Promotions. “With a goal of getting new shooters not just interested in the shooting sports but keeping them involved week after week, year after year, they need a way to connect with the industry companies that offer products and services that support everything they do. WMD Guns certainly fits that bill.”
“We are thrilled to be engaged with the NSSF Rimfire Challenge,” said Holden Kriss, WMD Guns Business Development Manager. “Our sponsorship is a perfect match for the goals of the program, since our products enhance reliability and ease the cleaning and maintenance requirements for rimfire platforms. This should elevate the shooters’ overall experience in these matches and other shooting sports they choose to pursue, as we support NSSF in getting new people out to the ranges and involved in the shooting sports.”
There are still opportunities remaining for additional Rimfire Challenge sponsor support. Please contact Zach Snow, NSSF Manager of Shooting Promotions, at 203-426-1320 ext.224 for more information.
