Range USA’s Women-only Shooting Club – Lady Sure Shots – Raises Support for Project ChildSafe

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Range USA’s Lady Sure Shots program encourages women of all experience levels to join the “Socialize. Shop. Shoot.” fun while supporting the Project ChildSafe® firearm safety education program of NSSF® — The Firearm Industry Trade Association.

Range USA opened its first location in 2012 and has become one of the largest operators of indoor ranges, with a total of 41 open locations and six under construction. The mission is to develop responsible gun owners, and with that comes gun safety.

“Keeping friends and family safe is everyone’s responsibility, and we are proud of these women for taking gun safety seriously while enjoying their target shooting,” says Andy Hofmann, Sr. Director of Marketing with Range USA. “Maybe we should add Support to our Socialize. Shop. Shoot. tagline.”

On the second Saturday of every month, the Lady Sure Shots program brings together like-minded women to enjoy target shooting at the range, with $5 for every registered participant going to the Project ChildSafe Foundation, the 501(c)(3) charity that supports the Project ChildSafe program.

“We are pleased to see the leadership that Range USA has taken with supporting women firearm enthusiasts and gun safety,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF’s President and CEO and Chairman of the Project ChildSafe Foundation. “We know that there has been an increase in women’s participation in the shooting sports, and we celebrate that along with the friendships that have developed through programs like Range USA’s Lady Sure Shots,” Bartozzi said.

About Project ChildSafe
NSSF, the trade association of the firearms industry, launched Project ChildSafe in 1999 (originally as Project HomeSafe). Since 1999, the program has provided more than 40 million free firearm safety kits and gun locks to firearm owners in all 50 states through partnerships with thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country. That’s in addition to the more than 70 million free locking devices manufacturers have included, and continue to include, with new firearms sold since 1998. While helping to prevent accidents among children is a focus, Project ChildSafe is intended to help adults practice greater firearm safety in the home. More information is available at projectchildsafe.org.
