NSSF Renews Pennsylvania’s Heritage Guild Five-Star Range Rating

NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that The Heritage Guild of Easton, Pennsylvania, has earned its highest Five-Star rating for range excellence.

Heritage Guild five star rangeLocated about 17 miles outside the bustling city of Allentown on the New Jersey-Pennsylvania border, The Heritage Guild boasts four separate ranges, an eight-lane 75-foot tactical range, a six-lane 75-foot rifle range and 10- and five-lane 50-foot handgun ranges. More than 140 firearms are available to rent, including full-autos, but one of the range’s biggest draws is its F.I.R.E. System, a high-tech, live-fire interactive range system that utilizes cameras to project changing target scenarios. F.I.R.E. provides real-time data capture that system users can use to improve their shooting skills, and it’s often used for friendly competition gatherings at The Heritage Guild Events Center.

The robust range facilities are supported by an amply stocked retail store carrying more than 2,000 firearms in new inventory. The Heritage Guild is the area’s premiere SIG Sauer Elite Dealer, with a store-within-a-store concept featuring exclusive SIG Sauer products. The store also capitalizes on the used and collectible firearms markets, with nearly 1,400 previously owned firearms in stock between its Easton location and two sister stores in Branchburg and Rahway, New Jersey, all of which can be researched through Heritage Guild’s online inventory. A fully stocked archery store and attendant 10-yard indoor archery range complements the store’s focus on hunting traditions and accommodates all levels of archery shooters from beginners to experts. A full curriculum of training classes for archery and firearms available through its Training Academy highlights a dedication to safety and improving the skills of its customers.

“The Heritage Guild had earned our Five-Star rating in 2013, and our familiarity with what this range had to offer then left little doubt it would meet the grade through our new and more stringent star-rating system,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Retail & Range Business Development. “Between its ranges, its extensive firearms and archery inventory, its educational offerings and its outstanding customer service, The Heritage Guild has it all. It is completely in tune with its community, understanding how firearms ownership and the hunting tradition are things Pennsylvanians hold dear and serving its clients well.”

“The Heritage Guild team is honored to earn this Five-Star rating again from the NSSF,” said Rob Vollers, the facility’s Managing Director. “It affirms that we continue to do things right for our customers, who make this all possible. Our mission of introducing new shooters to the shooting sports lifestyle in a clean and safe environment will continue as our Heritage Guild family of enthusiasts continues to grow.”

NSSF’s highly respected Star-Rating Range Program works to encourage ranges of all sizes and locations to excel. Applying for rating requires answering a comprehensive questionnaire and business owner self-evaluation of the facilities, staff, community outreach and other criteria. Ranges that appear to meet the criteria for Four- or Five-Star rating receive an on-site evaluation by NSSF staff. NSSF member ranges that meet a Three-Star rating are recognized for being a part of the Star-Rating range family and are provided guidance to improve their facilities and achieve the higher two ratings.
