Heartland Gun Club & Range Earns NSSF Five-Star Rating

NEWTOWN, Conn. —NSSF®, the firearm industry trade association, is pleased to announce that it has awarded Heartland Gun Club & Range its Five-Star rating for range excellence.

Heartland Gun ClubLocated in Rochester, Minn., Heartland Gun Club & Range offers just about everything an experienced or novice firearm owner needs. A modern, customer-friendly range and retail facility, Heartland is dedicated to helping firearm owners obtain the training they want, support beginner target shooters, encourage practice and assist customers in purchasing the right equipment for their needs.

“Heartland Gun Club & Range has gone to great effort to develop a facility that meets the needs of their community,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Member Development. “They have created a venue that aims to educate and entertain its patrons on and off the range with its indoor/outdoor meeting spaces that can hold events of all shapes and sizes. We’re very pleased to welcome them to our Five-Star family.”

Heartland’s range consists of 12 shooting lanes, each of them 25 yards, that allow patrons to shoot handguns and rifles. Customers can bring their own firearms or take advantage of Heartland’s large inventory of rental guns. The range has a state-of-the-art air filtration system, and each lane comes with its own air diffuser to maintain fresh air in a temperature-controlled environment.

Training classes are popular, and Heartland offers many to choose from. Concealed carry classes, basic pistol for beginners and for women-only classes, defensive pistol, classes on AR-style rifles and others training sessions round out the selection. Heartland makes its view of training and education clear on its website: “When you come to our firearm training class, our goal is to make you feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. It does not matter if you’ve never held a gun or if you’re a skilled marksman, you will find a professional welcoming environment at Heartland Gun Club & Range.”

The well-stocked retail section offers customers the opportunity to try out firearms on the range before they buy, which is an outstanding service for anyone undecided about which type or model of firearm to purchase. In addition to firearms, showroom merchandise includes ammunition, accessories, parts, cleaning kits and clothing.

Heartland Gun Club & Range is open to the public for target shooting, but regular customers take advantage of the club’s membership options that provide unlimited shooting, reservations for range time, preferred pricing on training classes, members-only sales events and discounted pricing on most items in the retail showroom. There are membership levels for individuals and families in the Patriot Club and The Refuge at the Heartland club, and also a Minuteman membership for military, law enforcement and first responders.

Heartland is a destination for conferences and events for families, team building and holiday parties, at which target shooting adds a new and fun dimension. Heartland staff will handle arrangements for food and entertainment. Event spaces include TVs, couches, kitchen space and a pool table.

“We are thrilled to receive the NSSF’s Five-Star range designation—its highest rating,” said Pat Egan, Owner of Heartland Gun Club & Range. “We have worked hard to make Heartland Gun Club & Range a valuable resource for the gun-owning community in greater Rochester. It’s an honor for everyone here at Heartland to be recognized by NSSF.”
