Gold Coast Armory Renews Support of NSSF Rimfire Challenge
NEWTOWN, Conn. —The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Gold Coast Armory has donated $20,000 in support of the Rimfire Challenge Program. Headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, Gold Coast Armory is a wholesale ammunition distributor. The company currently serves as the central distribution point for the competition’s Rimfire Challenge Ammo Roundup Program, which ensures match directors have a reliable supply and selection of .22 Long Rifle ammunition available to sell to local competitors at reasonable prices.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Gold Coast continue its tremendous support of the Rimfire Challenge program,” said Tisma Juett, NSSF Manager, First Shots Program. “This level of commitment clearly demonstrates that this shooting program has proven its worth to the firearms industry and the community of recreational shooters across the country.”
“Gold Coast Armory is proud to support the NSSF Rimfire Challenge,” said Scott Blick, Managing Partner with the company. “Gold Coast Armory takes great pride in helping ranges acquire the ammunition they need for the competitions so we can all grow the popularity of shooting sports from beginner to professional.”
Now in its third year as an NSSF Program, Rimfire Challenge provides a way for novice shooters to experience their first competitions via a family-friendly and highly supportive atmosphere. Matches utilize a two-gun format of .22 LR handguns and rifles, making the Rimfire Challenge an economical sport for new competitors. Focusing on both safety and fun, the competitions are open to all ages and skill levels, with participation by recreational shooters new to competition specifically encouraged. The 2016 Rimfire Challenge World Championship is the culminating event following the program’s year-round, nationwide competitions at the local and regional levels, and will take place Oct. 14-16 at the Cavern Cove Competition Range shooting facility in Woodville, Alabama. Registration will open later this summer.
