Project ChildSafe by the Numbers
Over the past decade, we’ve distributed more than 36 million firearm safety kits to law enforcement agencies through Project ChildSafe. Our efforts help prevent firearm accidents and keep guns out of the wrong hands. Yet due to lack of funding, today we’re only able to provide for 30 percent of the 1,000 safety kit requests we receive on a daily basis. The infographic below highlights our firearm safety program and explains why it’s time to ask Congress to renew funding for Project ChildSafe.
