NSSF to Host State Attorneys General Forum at SHOT Show 2024


WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, is adding to its robust offerings at SHOT Show® with a first-ever state Attorneys General Forum to discuss the legal landscape and what is being done by the leading law enforcement officers in several states to fight back against Second Amendment and firearm industry attacks by the Biden administration by the leading law enforcement officers in several states. The forum, called “Badges and Boots” will focus on ongoing legal questions and the amici briefs these attorneys general submitted to the courts challenging many of the proposed and final rules by the Biden administration.

Confirmed for the Badges and Boots Attorneys General Forum are (in alphabetical order of states):

Indiana – Attorney General Todd Rokita

Iowa – Attorney General Brenna Bird

Kansas – Attorney General Kris Kobach

Montana – Attorney General Austin Knudsen

Ohio – Attorney General Dave Yost

Utah – Attorney General Sean Reyes

Since taking office, he has used every government lever to attempt to hobble our industry and diminish Second Amendment rights,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President & General Counsel. “These attorneys general have been the leading edge of the fight to protect our industry and citizens’ rights from executive overreach. They are the crucial voices in the courts to demonstrate how gun control ‘lawfare’ is abusing rights that belong to the people. Their voices are critical to our industry. NSSF is proud to bring this opportunity to SHOT Show for attendees to hear directly from those defending our freedoms in the courts.”

Badges and Boots will be a laid back and interactive discussion with state attorneys general fighting the legal battle against the Biden administration and other politically-driven attacks against the firearm and ammunition industry and Second Amendment rights. These attorneys general are the leading law enforcement officials in their states and are riding high in the saddle to keep the gun control predators at bay. The Attorneys General Forum will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 4-5 p.m. at the Great Outdoors Plaza, Caesars Forum.

More attorneys general may be added to the forum as schedules permit. The Attorneys General Forum, Badges and Boots, is open to all SHOT Show attendees and media. Come join us for an end-of-the-day beer. Space is limited, so register today!
