Hunting & Fishing Act Gains Committee Support
By a vote of 28-13, the House Natural Resources Committee today passed H.R 2834, the Recreational Fishing and Hunting Heritage Opportunities Act. The National Shooting Sports Foundation thanks all hunters, sportsmen, gun owners and firearms enthusiasts who urged their representatives to support the legislation.
The act would require federal public land management officials, in cooperation with the respective state and fish and wildlife agency, to consider facilitating and providing access for hunting, recreational shooting and fishing when federal public land use is being planned.
