BearingArms.com Joins 2016 SHOT Show University Sponsor List
I am pleased to announce that BearingArms.com has agreed to sponsor the 2016 SHOT Show University at the Bronze level. Bearing Arms is an online publication of Townhall Media, a conservative news organization leading national discussions on political commentary and analysis. Its other web properties include Townhall.com, HotAir.com and RedState.com, among others.
In the challenging political climate facing our industry today, it is gratifying to see a media force like Bearing Arms, in conjunction with the rest of Townhall Media, join with NSSF as a sponsor of the 2016 SHOT Show University. It’s important for our retailers to connect with and have an understanding of the complex dynamics that affect their businesses, and this sponsorship provides an opportunity to do just that.
“It’s an honor for Bearing Arms to be a 2016 sponsor of SHOT Show University,” said Bob Owens, Editor of Bearing Arms.com. “Retailers and range operators are the public face of the shooting sport industry, and we think it is vital to equip them with the tools they need to thrive and support a gun culture that is larger, more social and more diverse, especially during an election year when mainstream media attention can be particularly negative towards the industry.”
SHOT Show University is NSSF’s annual education seminar for retailers. It consists of four educational tracks designed to allow retailers from startups to veteran the opportunity to engage with a host of well-regarded business experts speaking on laws and regulations affecting their businesses, opportunities for growth and the latest in technology.
The 2016 SHOT Show University will take place January 18, the day before the show opens. Registration for this event is now open to retailers and exhibitors whose applications to attend the show have been approved. NSSF Premium Retailer members are permitted one complimentary ticket to the event. Tickets for all other NSSF members and for Premium Retailer members wishing to purchase tickets in addition their complimentary seat are $250. Tickets for non-member retailers and exhibitors are available for $500. The full course description for the 2016 SHOT Show University is available here.
