Clark County Shooting Park Manager
Elected to NSSF Board of Governors

NEWTOWN, Conn -- The National Shooting Sports Foundation Board of Governors has appointed Don Turner, general manager of the new Clark County Shooting Park in Las Vegas, to serve on its board. The NSSF Board of Governors is responsible for overseeing the strategy and finances of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry and owner of the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) show.

"Bringing the perspective of shooting ranges and gun clubs to the board, Don will make a great addition to the NSSF governing body," said Robert Scott, chairman of the NSSF Board of Governors. "His contributions to industry and his business acumen are greatly respected by those who know him. We look forward to working with Don in furthering the NSSF mission of promoting, protecting and preserving hunting and the shooting sports."

Mr. Turner has a long history within the firearms industry, serving as chief rangemaster for the Ben Avery Shooting Facility (Arizona) and the statewide project leader for shooting ranges in Arizona. More recently, Mr. Turner has become the president of the NSSF's Association of Shooting Ranges, succeeding Holden Kriss, director of Indian River County Shooting Range.

"Over the past four years, Holden Kriss has contributed greatly to the NSSF Board of Governors," said Scott. "His hard work, leadership and dedication have helped to create new opportunities for shooters and shooting ranges across the United States. We are thankful for his service."

Commenting on his new position, Mr. Turner said, "I am honored to be able serve the members of NSSF and represent the NSSF's Association of Shooting Ranges. Over the years we have stepped forward to provide guidance and leadership to the shooting community for the development and professional management of shooting ranges as a safe and quality place for people to learn firearms safety and enjoy recreational shooting."
