Job Summary:
DESCRIPTION: Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supervise production personnel to ensure production output is in line with standards. Interpret company policies to employees, and enforce safety regulations. Regularly interface with Engineers regarding production requirements. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to employees, and assign duties. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Perform activities of employees supervised. Complete employee time and attendance records for payroll. Initiate and suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve production schedule. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist employees in doing so, when part or whole of assigned work is beyond the capacity of person executing such work. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required. Experience in production supervision and experience with production machining equipment and processes. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and performance reviews; maintain employee attendance records. Good problem solving skills. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Ability to operate production equipment and use of safety protective equipment, as required. Basic pc skills required; word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and Internet.
