Industry Research and Statistics

The "Industry Research Services" section of National Shooting Sports Foundation's (NSSF) Web site is your one-stop online resource for research and statistics on recreational shooting sports and hunting.

The NSSF Research Department examines the shooting sports and hunting and their impact on society through our own proprietary internal surveys and analysis. NSSF also works closely with other organizations and researchers to provide a broad spectrum of syndicated reports, studies and current statistics. Navigate through our list of research features. Today's Target Shooter – 2008 Summary Edition
This report offers a statistical profile of America's recreational target shooters by highlighting the brand-level data sourced from TargetShootingSurvey.com. It is the first report of its kind to devote entirely to the demographics, expenditures and participation frequency of target shooters. Details the types of shooting disciplines participated in, the average purchase price for equipment, where purchases are being made and offers a full demographic profile. Americans and the Shooting Sports
