This Thanksgiving, NSSF Pauses to Give Thanks
Thanksgiving is a natural time to pause, reflect and acknowledge our shared passions and strong partnerships, and simply say, “Thank you.”
Those of us who advocate for the Second Amendment know we don’t stand alone. We are anchored by an industry of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, ranges, instructors and innovators who quietly do the hard work every day to ensure that law-abiding Americans can safely exercise their Constitutional rights.
From the shop floors of craftsmen and women producing reliable firearms and ammunition, to small-town firearm retailers greeting customers by name, your work matters. It sustains good-paying jobs, supports local communities, funds wildlife conservation through excise taxes and provides the tools millions of responsible citizens rely on to protect themselves, their families, their property and their communities.
We are humbled by the trust you place in us as partners and advocates. You’ve stood with us in state capitals and in Washington, D.C., when misinformation and blame were easier narratives than facts and responsibility. You’ve helped us tell the real stories of lawful gun ownership, of safe storage, of training and stewardship. You’ve invested time, resources and credibility so that our shared message is grounded, disciplined and worthy of the freedom we defend.
This Thanksgiving, we are especially grateful for your resilience. In the face of shifting markets, political headwinds and an increasingly hostile cultural climate of gun control propaganda, you continue to show up – meeting compliance burdens, serving new gun owners, supporting ranges and clubs, and giving back to veterans, law enforcement, first responders, youth shooting programs and the industry. You prove, day after day, that this industry is made up of caring neighbors, not caricatures; of stalwart problem-solvers, not provocateurs.
We also recognize that none of this is guaranteed. The Second Amendment is a permanent right, but its practical exercise depends on real people, real businesses and real partnerships. We don’t take that for granted. NSSF’s commitment to you is simple: we will continue working tirelessly, professionally, constructively and with the utmost integrity to protect this industry, defend our Constitutional freedoms and represent you with the seriousness this responsibility deserves.
On this day of gratitude, we give thanks for your work, your support and your partnership. It is an honor to stand alongside you in defense of the rights and traditions that helped carve out this nation.
From our team to yours, we wish you and your families a safe, restful and blessed Thanksgiving.
