Project ChildSafe Foundation Expands Fundraising Opportunities with New Product Donation Process
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Project ChildSafe Foundation today announced the launch of an enhanced fundraising model that brings together its popular Safety Sweepstakes and charity auctions under a streamlined, partner‑friendly, product-donation process. As the fundraising engine for Project ChildSafe®, a program of NSSF® — The Firearm Industry Trade Association — the Project ChildSafe Foundation helps advance firearm safety education nationwide.
The Safety Sweepstakes and auctions have become two of Project ChildSafe Foundation’s most successful fundraising tools, offering supporters a chance to win or bid on premium outdoor, shooting sports and lifestyle products — all while advancing national firearm safety education. Donations of products by industry companies are central to the success of these fundraisers. To make participation easier for manufacturers, retailers and industry partners, a new, easy-to-use product donation form is now available at: https://projectchildsafe.org/product-donation-form/
This updated process allows partners to submit product information, images and fulfillment details in one place, ensuring faster coordination and greater visibility for donated items featured in sweepstakes and auctions throughout the year.
“Industry partners have always been essential to the success of Project ChildSafe,” said Joe Bartozzi, Chairman of Project ChildSafe Foundation and President and CEO of NSSF. “This new donation process makes it simpler than ever for companies to contribute products that help raise critical funds for secure‑storage education and community outreach.”
Companies interested in supporting the Project ChildSafe Foundation’s efforts can donate products at any time using the new form. All contributions help expand the reach of Project ChildSafe’s safety resources, community programs and national awareness efforts.

About Project ChildSafe
NSSF, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, launched Project ChildSafe in 1999 (originally as Project HomeSafe). Since 1999, the program has provided more than 41 million free firearm safety kits that include gun locks to firearm owners in all 50 states through partnerships with thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country. That’s in addition to the more than 70 million free locking devices manufacturers have included, and continue to include, with new firearms sold since 1998. While helping to prevent accidents among children is a focus, Project ChildSafe is intended to help adults practice greater firearm safety in the home. More information is available at projectchildsafe.org.
