Individual Membership

Individual memberships shall be in the name of and belong to the individual. Individual memberships are not transferable to third parties, including a company or organization that the individual.

Media Membership

An individual needs that is a member of a writers group, or employee of a publication. Individual memberships shall be in the name of and belong to the individual. Individual memberships are not transferable to third parties, including a company or organization that the individual may own or in which the individual may be employed.

Shooting Range/Firearms Retailer Membership

Membership for firearm retailers, shooting range developers, not-for-profit shooting ranges and/or for-profit shooting ranges that support the efforts of NSSF.

Supporting Membership

Membership for manufacturers, importers, wholesale distributors, retailers and manufacturer representatives of firearms, ammunition or related hunting and/or shooting products, supplies or accessories and organizations operating for the purpose of promoting hunting or the shooting sports. Supporting members wish to contribute to the efforts of the NSSF, but do not want to report sales data or pay higher dues required of voting members.

Voting Membership

Voting members shall be corporations, organizations, associations, clubs or partnerships who, in the judgment of the NSSF Board of Governors, will further the objectives of the Foundation in the promotion of the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry, whose applications for membership are approved by the  NSSF Board and that agree to pay voting membership dues as established by the Board.
