Do I have to be a member to go to the SHOT Show?

You do not have to be an NSSF member to attend the SHOT Show.

How do I arrange a store security audit?

Please visit nssf.org/retailers/atf-compliance to learn more about scheduling a store security audit as a non-premium member.

How do I become a member?

Please visit membership.nssf.org.  If you’re not sure which membership application you should fill out, please refer to What Type of Member Am I.

How do I get listed on Where To Shoot/Where to Buy?

You may list your location on our “Where To Shoot” website. NSSF range members’ listing will be highlighted in bold and featured at the top of the list when a user is searching for a range. To take advantage of this service, visit listyourrange.nssf.org. This directory lists both members and non-members, with members receiving priority listing treatment.

NSSF Retailer members are automatically added to the “Where to Buy” listings.  This directory lists only member companies.

How do I learn what my member benefits are and how to contact the companies?

Please log into the member portal and click on Member Benefits in the upper navigation panel.

How do I place an order for literature or research?

Please visit portal.nssf.org and click “Proceed As Guest” to access the NSSF online store.

If you are a member, please make sure to log in to your member portal to receive member pricing.

How do I renew my membership?

Login to the member portal with your email address and password. Click on Subscriptions and then click on the box on the right to initiate the renewal process. If you are a Premium member, please contact [email protected].

How do I update my account information?

Please contact [email protected] so we can update your account.

How much does membership cost?

Please refer to the Membership Benefits Chart and Dues Structure to see the cost of membership and which services and benefits are available for each membership type.

I am not the primary and am trying to renew but cannot. How do I renew?

If you are not the primary on the account, the membership department needs to set up permissions for you to be able to renew through the member portal. Please contact [email protected].

I have a compliance question – who do I contact for an answer?

NSSF Members have access to a 24/7 Compliance Hotline.  Please log in to the member portal and access Member Benefits to find the 24 hour Compliance Hotline number.

I have multiple locations and/or subsidiaries, does membership cover all of my locations and/or subsidiaries?

Businesses with subsidiaries should calculate dues which include all industry-related subsidiaries and supply the Membership Department with a listing of those subsidiaries.

If I purchase membership, are my employees also members?

If you have a company membership with the NSSF, then your employees are members under your company membership.

Does not apply to Media Individual memberships.

What benefits come with membership?

Refer to the Member Benefits Chart and Dues Structure to see which services and benefits are available for each membership type.

What is my log in or how do I reset my password if Password Reset doesn’t work?

Your log in is your email address and a password you set since April 2017. Login here.

If you have not created a password since April 2017, please contact [email protected] and we will send you an invitation to set up your password.

What is my member ID number?

Forgot your Member ID? The Member ID Lookup page will allow you obtain your NSSF ID and membership status in one step.  A valid email address that is associated with an NSSF Member account is required to use this feature.

You can also check the status of your NSSF Membership any time.

What is the difference between premium range and regular range membership?

Premium Range membership offers an enhanced benefits package.  Some benefits include legal defense fund, OSHA mock audit, compliance program review and more.

Premium Retailer membership offers an enhanced benefits package.  Some benefits include legal defense fund, site visit and audit, assigned retailer consultant and more.

Where are the PDFs I just purchased?

All PDFs ordered since April 2017 reside in My Downloads in your member portal. If you do not see My Downloads when you are in the member portal, please click on Home in the upper navigation panel; you should now see My Downloads.
