WEBINAR: Suicide Awareness for Instructors, FFLs and Ranges

CONNECTICUT: Equipped to Save Lives: Suicide Awareness for Instructors, FFLs and Ranges (CTSAB-NSSF)

NSSF and the Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board (CTSAB) invite Connecticut firearm instructors, federal firearm licensees (FFLs), range operators and others in the firearm industry to learn about new resources to prevent suicide. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in Connecticut for ages 25-34 and third leading cause for ages 15-24.

Nationally, more than 50 percent of suicide deaths involve a firearm. CTSAB, with NSSF input, has developed a concise slide deck that instructors can insert into their training courses to teach their students about suicide prevention—things such as warning signs, how to start a conversation that can save a life, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and more. The materials can also be used to educate staff and customers. The new slide deck complements print resources that were distributed by NSSF and CTSAB last year to Connecticut instructors and FFLs. Join us to learn about these lifesaving tools.
