Understanding the Changing Tariff Landscape

NSSF hosted an exclusive Member-Only webinar titled “Understanding the Changing Tariff Landscape” on April 30, which presented valuable insights into what is a rapidly changing tariff landscape and strategies to minimize the impact of increasing duties on your business. The webinar recording is now available for NSSF members to view on the NSSF eLearning portal, SHOT University Online™.

During the session, C.J. Erickson, partner with Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman, provides an overview of the many recent changes in United States tariff policy and strategies that importers and manufacturers can explore to potentially reduce the impact of increased tariffs on their business operations. Topics covered included the recently imposed reciprocal tariffs and their exclusions, additional tariffs which have been imposed on China, Mexico and Canada in response to border security and illicit drug trade concerns, as well as Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum products.

Presenter C.J. Erickson is a partner with Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman, and leads the firm’s Customs, International Cargo and Regulatory Compliance Group.  He concentrates his practice on advising importers, exporters, manufacturers, Customs brokers, freight forwarders, and others on production, compliance, classification, valuation, transportation, admissibility, and related Customs and other trade matters.
