HazCom on the Range: Understanding Hazard Communication for Shooting Range Operations

Every firing range handles chemicals and materials—like cleaning solvents and lead exposure from ammunition—that can pose serious risks if not properly managed. OSHA’s Hazard Communication (HazCom) Standard, also known as the “Right-to-Know” rule, requires employers to identify and communicate these hazards to protect worker health and safety.
