NSSF Names Melissa Schilling VP of Exhibitions & Events, John McNamara VP of Member Services

WASHINGTON, D.C.—NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, is pleased to announce two forthcoming additions to its executive leadership team. Effective January 1, 2026, Melissa Schilling will become Vice President, Exhibitions and Events, and John McNamara will serve as Vice President, Member Services.

Chris Dolnack, NSSF Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, will be retiring April 2, 2026, after nearly three decades of service to the association.

“Both Melissa and John will be outstanding additions to NSSF’s executive team,” said NSSF President and CEO Joe Bartozzi. “Their commitment to excellence and to NSSF’s mission has and will continue to drive our organization forward.”

“I also extend an enormous amount of thanks to Chris Dolnack for his leadership and service to NSSF and our industry over the years,” Bartozzi said. “He has played an immense role in the success of NSSF and its signature event, the SHOT Show, and we wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.”

Schilling joined NSSF in 2003 and has been an integral part of the organization’s growth and achievements. She has advanced through many roles during her tenure, most recently serving as Managing Director of Exhibitions and Events, where she has led the planning and execution of the SHOT Show as well as NSSF’s many other events held throughout the year. She has also held roles in public relations and led NSSF’s recruitment and retention efforts.

McNamara joined NSSF in 2017, starting as Senior Director of Retailer Services and advancing to Managing Director of Member Services in 2021. He has played a key role in strengthening the association’s member relationships and engagement, developing partnerships, increasing revenue and aligning departmental goals with organizational strategy. Before joining NSSF, he served as Executive Vice President at firearm manufacturer PTR Industries.
