Mission94 Firearms Education Center Recognized as NSSF Five-Star Range

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, has awarded Mission94 Firearms Education Center with its coveted Five-Star rating for range excellence. Five stars is the highest rating in NSSF’s star-rating system, which evaluates shooting facilities based on appearance, management, shooting sports development and amenities.

Located in Kenosha, Wis., Mission94 opened in October 2024 and has quickly grown into a leader in its community with a strong emphasis on responsible firearm ownership through training and education, while also exploring the unique history behind firearms and the Second Amendment.

“Mission94 has numerous standout qualities — first-class customer service, a strong focus on education, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a state-of-the-art facility — making it a worthy addition to NSSF’s family of Five-Star shooting ranges,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Member Development. “Mission94’s commitment to excellence and creating both positive and memorable experience for patrons of all skill levels encourages repeat visits and long-term participation.”

Mission94 is outfitted with two state-of-the-art training bays. A 25-yard training bay (10 lanes) features a target carrier system able to send out targets to varying distances and includes pre-programmed drills for training. Each lane in this bay is equipped with a camera system, enabling range guests to view a zoomed-in display of shot placements. The display also has a color-coding ability to distinguish between different arms or shooters using the same target. The 50-yard training bay has five lanes and a customizable target carrier system. Each bay is outfitted with a comprehensive HVAC system, delivering cleaner air than what range guests would breathe outside.

“NSSF’s Five-Star recognition is a true honor,” said Mission94 General Manager Scot Loesch. “From day one, our mission has been about more than providing a facility. We are committed to creating a space where education, safety and an appreciation for our Second Amendment history come together. Our goal is to be a place where people of all backgrounds and experience levels can learn, grow and connect through responsible firearm ownership.”

Education is central to Mission94’s presence in its community. It regularly provides interactive classes covering a variety of topics for all skill levels — including NSSF First Shots® pistol and suppressor courses, along with tactical rifle, concealed carry and red dot 101 classes. It has even created courses that explore the history of firearms with a specific focus on notable historic wars. For example, in Mission94’s “U.S. Small Arms of World War II” class, students will learn about the M1911-A1 pistol, 1903 rifle, M1 Garand, M1919 machine gun and Browning BAR and then can experience them firsthand in training bays. Stop the Bleed and basic first aid classes are hosted at the facility, as well.

Mission94 has a vibrant membership base. Members receive a variety of amenities, depending on membership level, including VIP lounge access, free range time, members-only events, on-site storage, discounts and more. Additionally, Mission94 regularly hosts a 90-minute ladies’ night events and themed “fun shoots.”

Providing a unique local touch, Mission94 receives loaned artifacts from the nearby Pritzker Military Museum & Library. Glass display cases house many of the items discussed in Mission94’s historical classes.

One of the ways Mission94 honors those who have helped shape firearms history is by displaying an expansive mural outside its patio featuring eight prominent leaders, including Annie Oakley, Samuel Colt, Bass Reeves, Harriet Tubman and others.

“Safe and proper training is the foundation of everything we do at Mission94,” said Mission94 Operations Manager Chris Meter. “By combining hands-on education with an understanding of our nation’s history and the principles behind the Second Amendment, we help ensure that every guest leaves more informed, more confident and more responsible. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to honoring the past while preparing our community to be safe, knowledgeable and respectful stewards of firearm ownership.”

Complementing its impressive range amenities, Mission94’s retail area features an extensive assortment of premium firearms, ammunition and gear — as well as a knowledgeable team ready to guide customers toward their purchase.
