We Need Your Help To Keep Sunday Hunting Moving Forward in Virginia — Contact Your Delegate Today

With a 29-10 vote, the Virginia State Senate on Thursday passed legislation to allow Sunday hunting on private lands (SB 464).

We need your help now in the State House of Delegates where we are facing very strong opposition in the committee and subcommittee — which has been intentionally stacked with delegates who oppose Sunday hunting.

SB 464 is limited to private lands only, public marshes and excludes deer hound hunting. Every hunter should support this measure if they want new generations to have the option to hunt in the future. Hunting license sales have dropped from 500,000 in the mid 1970’s to 300,000 today.

If we don’t increase license sales, our hunting tradition will be lost. The only way to promote license sales is by creating more time for sportsmen to hunt.

It’s time to modify one tradition in order to save another.

If you reside in any of the following Delegates’ districts, your input could have even more of an impact.
