Volquartsen Custom Returns as Silver Sponsor of the NSSF Rimfire Challenge Program

NEWTOWN, Conn. — Rifle innovator Volquartsen Custom has once again agreed to join the National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) as a Silver Sponsor of the Rimfire Challenge. A pioneer in the customization of Ruger’s famed 10/22 rifle, Volquartsen today crafts some of the world’s finest rimfire rifles and handguns. This is Volquartsen’s second year sponsoring the Rimfire Challenge program at the Silver level.

Now in its second year as an NSSF program, Rimfire Challenge focuses on competition with .22-caliber rifles and pistols. Formerly known as the Ruger Rimfire Challenge, matches are specifically designed to introduce new shooters to competitive shooting in an exciting, family friendly format. Rimfire Challenge matches are open to shooters of all ages and shooting experience levels, with events conducted at ranges nationwide. The match format emphasizes safety, fun and ease of access for newcomers.

“We are thrilled to have Volquartsen Custom sign on as a sponsor of the Rimfire Challenge for the second year in a row,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Manager of Shooting Promotions. “This company’s commitment to these matches and the success of everyone shooting in them, whether novice or expert, highlights just how important the Rimfire Challenge is to the recruitment of new firearms enthusiasts.”

“We are very pleased to be back as a Silver Sponsor of the NSSF Rimfire Challenge,” said Scott Volquartsen, company President and CEO. “The NSSF Rimfire Challenge is such a fun, family friendly event that it makes it easy for everybody to participate. The growth we’ve seen of the matches over the past two years has been incredible. It seems every match has an increase in the number of competitors and, even more important, is the number of new shooters being brought in.”

Additional sponsorship opportunities for NSSF’s 2015 Rimfire Challenge program are available. Please contact Zach Snow, NSSF Manager of Shooting Promotions, at 203-426-1320 ext. 224 for information.
