Smith & Wesson Returns as Platinum Sponsor for 2018’s SHOT Show University
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms trade, is pleased to announce that Smith & Wesson will be returning as the Platinum Sponsor of the 2018 SHOT Show University. This is the sixth year in a row the American manufacturer of firearms has supported the forum at this level.
“Smith & Wesson’s unparalleled level of support for our industry’s retailers and range owners underscores the company’s commitment to maintaining the viability of our industry from top to bottom,” said John McNamara, NSSF Senior Director, Retail Services. “It’s an honor to have this prestigious company partner with us in providing this ever-important educational forum.”
Taking place Monday, Jan. 22, the day before the 2018 SHOT Show opens, SHOT Show University is NSSF’s premier learning experience for retailers and range owners, providing business owners of all experience levels ways to improve their businesses. The forum is comprised of four learning tracks: Range, Compliance, Retailer 101 (designed for more newly established FFLs) and the Master’s Class (created for more veteran firearms retailer owners). Attendees can participate in one complete track or select from sessions across any of the four to customize their experience. A wide variety of industry and business experts lead the various discussions, with topics that range from ATF inspection preparation and technology that drives customer engagement to NFA compliance, new media marketing techniques and how data collection and analysis can help small businesses thrive.
“SHOT Show University has proven to be a valuable educational tool for retailers and range owners, and Smith & Wesson is proud to support the NSSF as it develops programs to educate our retailers on new ways to enhance their businesses,” said Matt Buckingham, company President.
Registration for the 2018 SHOT Show is now open. Buyers and range owners successfully registering to attend the show can then register to participate in SHOT Show University and other events. View the full SHOT Show University agenda and speaker lineup here.
