Youth and College Programs

There’s no better way to ensure your child grows up with a safe and secure knowledge of correct firearm usage than well organized Youth and College Shooting Programs. These programs are designed to be age appropriate and help parents take the “fear and mystery” out of children’s natural curiosity and replace it with understanding and respect. These values ensure that our next generation of shooters grow up with the love and enthusiasm needed to carry the sport well into the future.


ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships

The ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships program provides a quality experience for college students that teaches them fair play, concentration, logic skills and enhances interpersonal relationships. This is the only collegiate event featuring all six clay target events: International Skeet and Trap, American Skeet and Trap, Five-Stand and Sporting Clays.


AIM

AIM (Academics, Integrity, Marksmanship) is the official youth program of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. The program allows elementary through college-age shooters the chance to compete in registered competition on a level playing field either as a team or as an individual


National 4-H Shooting Sports

The focus of all 4-H programs is the development of youths as individuals and as responsible and productive citizens. The National 4-H Shooting Sports stands out as an example. Youths learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of hunting and archery and much more.


National Shooting Sports Program (NSSP)

NSSP is the Shooting Sports program for the National Royal Ranger program, a Christian church ministry for boys ages 5 to 18.  NSSP exists to support the mission and purpose of Royal Rangers while promoting a safe and rewarding shooting sports experience for all. We encourage participation in BB gun, air rifle, small bore .22 Rifle, shotgun, black powder and archery shooting sports. Royal Rangers is the second largest scouting group in the United States with approximately 125,000 members and internationally, we are the world’s largest mentoring program for boys with chapters in more than 100 countries.


Scholastic Clay Target Program

The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) provides youths in grades 12 and under an opportunity to compete as a team for state and national championships in trap, skeet and sporting clays. The ultimate goal is to instill in young participants a commitment to safe firearm handling, teamwork and leadership. SCTP was developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and is managed nationally by the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation.


Scholastic Pistol Program

The Scholastic Pistol Program (SPP) offers youths aged 12 through college the opportunity to safely participate in the exciting team-based sport of speed shooting on steel targets. SPP is designed to instill in young people a set of personal values or character traits for fair play, compassionate understanding, individual responsibility, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and personal commitment. SPP is managed nationally by the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation.


Student Air Rifle Program

The mission of the Student Air Rifle Program is to facilitate an introduction to the lifetime sport of target shooting to school-aged youth in grades 4 through 12. Our purpose is to increase involvement in the shooting sports, enhance educational performance, and promote positive youth development through firearms safety and target shooting education.  Our vision is everyone will have the opportunity to participate in the shooting sports and target shooting will be universally regarded as a safe, relevant and educational activity.


USA Clay Target League

The non-profit USA Clay Target League is the largest youth clay target shooting sports organization in America, and offers trap, skeet, sporting clays, and 5-stand programs as an extracurricular co-ed activity to high schools and post secondary schools nationwide. The League’s priorities, in order of importance, are safety, fun, and marksmanship.The League’s clay target programs are fully adaptable, as well as Title IX compliant. There are no ‘bench-warmers’ – every student on a team participates and the League’s True Team Scoring® ensures fair competition across state conferences organized by team size. USA Youth Education in Shooting Sports

USA Youth Education in Shooting Sports (USAYESS) exists to develop, grow, and support state foundations and associations that use hands-on events, competitive shooting sports, and wildlife habitat and conservation programs to introduce and educate young people and their families about safe firearm handling, competitive shooting, and outdoor conservation activities.
