I am pleased to announce that Ed Santos has agreed to join NSSF as a speaker of the 2017 SHOT Show University. A recognized threat management specialist, Santos often serves as an expert witness on matters of shooting range operations, design and safety, and personal and industrial security.

In addition to his expertise in range consultancy, Santos is the founder and president of Center Target Sports (CTS) and the Tactical Services Group, Inc. (TSG). In 2010, CTS received the SHOT Business Magazine Range of the Year Award and was recognized as the “Best Indoor Range in the USA” by the Glock Corporation’s Glock Sport Shooting Foundation. TSG provides access to a team of professionals who are involved on a daily basis in the management, operations, marketing, training and logistics of one of the most successful shooting ranges in the country.

Santos is a renowned author who penned the critically acclaimed Rule the Night, Win the Fight: A Practical guide To Low-Light Gunfighting, which debuted at the National Tactical Officers Association in 2007. His second book, Low-Light Combatives, was released in 2013 at the International Law Enforcement Educators Association. He routinely writes articles for a number of major police and firearms instructor publications.

Santos will be delivering the presentation “Increase Margins Through Training” at the 2017 SHOT Show University, which takes place Monday, January 16, the day before the show opens. The annual SHOT Show University is a full-day educational experience traditionally geared toward firearms retailers and now designed with a roster of speakers who also address topics and trends of interest to firearms range operators and manufacturers. The 2017 SHOT Show will be held January 17-20 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Room location for SHOT Show University will be announced at a later date.

Registration to attend the 2017 SHOT Show and the full SHOT Show University agenda will be available early in Fall 2016.
