Shooter and five-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode will be one of three Olympic athletes to speak tonight at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

Also speaking will be Mike Eruzione, captain of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” hockey team that defeated the Soviet Union, and Derek Parra, gold medalist in the 1,500-meter speed skating event at the 2002 Winter Games.

With her gold medal in women’s skeet in London, Rhode became the first American to medal in an individual event in five consecutive Olympics. She’s also the only person to have won two gold medals in women’s double trap, an event that was eliminated from the Games after 2004. When double trap was eliminated, Rhode switched to skeet, in which she’s won silver (2008) and gold (2012).

According to a press release from the GOP, the Olympians will be there to offer their thanks to Mitt Romney for his efforts in turning around the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

The Olympians are scheduled to speak just before 10 p.m. Eastern.
