NSSF Welcomes New Member, Retailer Services Department Heads
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Mike Vrooman has joined the staff as its Managing Director, Member Services, and John McNamara has signed on as the organization’s new Senior Director, Retailer Services.
As Managing Director, Member Services, Vrooman will oversee the Member Services team responsible for creating and implementing the programs and initiatives provided to its member companies, including retailers, ranges and manufacturers, along with supporting outreach efforts that attract new participants to the shooting sports. He brings with him more than 10 years of experience in the firearms and hunting industry, including time at Beretta and Remington in sales, marketing and product management.
McNamara will oversee NSSF’s many retailer programs and benefits, including the priority efforts aimed at improving FFL security and compliance. He brings with him more than 14 years’ experience in sales, marketing, management and business development. His last seven years were spent as vice president at PTR Industries, Inc., a South Carolina-based rifle manufacturer. During that time John was responsible for the company’s sales, marketing, compliance, public relations and administrative efforts.
