NSSF 119th Congress Report Card
NSSF graded each Senator and House Member on a combination of key votes, co-sponsorship of NSSF-supported legislation, and non-co-sponsorship of NSSF-opposed legislation. Leadership on other industry-supported legislation, public statements, committee activity, floor statements, amicus briefs and letters led and signed supporting a key issue, etc., was also considered.
Grades are meant to analyze the level of support of each lawmaker on firearm industry priority legislation in areas including defending the firearm industry’s ability to engage in the lawful commerce of firearms and ammunition, Second Amendment rights of customers, and promoting hunting and recreational target shooting during the 119th Congress. The grades do not constitute an endorsement of, or opposition to, a candidate.
