Get Ready for the Export USML to CCL Transition Training
The National Shooting Sports Foundation has been at the forefront of the coming reforms to the export control regulations. Now, with the final rules expected to be published this month, transferring firearms and ammunition to the Commerce Department from State, we are offering in-person and virtual training options for members of the firearms and ammunition industry.
Due to an unforeseen delay in the publication of the final transition rules, upcoming in-person and virtual training sessions have been postponed. NSSF will reschedule each for a later date, once we have more clarity on the date of the publication of the final rules.
Previously Recorded Session
In February, NSSF hosted a one-of-a-kind training session in Hartford, Conn., with the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). A video recording is now available for each of the NSSF-BIS joint presentations focused on the transition of firearms, ammunition, and accessories from control under the State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), to the BIS.
The date for the NSSF and BIS training session in Seattle, WA has been postponed. Any registrants will be notified of the rescheduled date when available. This session will be the first of our joint training sessions to be held after the final rules are expected to be published. Each presentation is designed to help attendees learn about regulations under BIS and how the new regulations need to be implemented in your company’s export business.
Live Webinar Series
Once the rules are published, the first opportunity for virtual training will be through a 5-part NSSF webinar series with one of the reform’s lead architects, Kevin Wolf, and compliance expert Kim Pritula, President of KMP Global Consulting. Each webinar will be held from 1 – 2:30 p.m. EDT. Register for each 90-minute webinar below.
Please note, all dates have been postponed. Prior registrants will be notified of the new dates when available.
