Free Project ChildSafe Gun Locks Ready for Shipment

Thanks to a generous grant from the Cabela’s Outdoor Fund, the National Shooting Sports Foundation will provide its Project ChildSafe gun locks and firearm safety education materials to state agencies for use in hunter education classes.

The Project ChildSafe firearm safety kits, which include a gun lock and safety brochure, have arrived and are ready for shipment to your agency.

In order to ship locks to you, we need the name of the agency’s person in charge of receiving these locks. It will likely be your agency’s lead hunter education coordinator. Please contact NSSF’s Bill Brassard at bbrassard@nssf.org with this person’s contact information.

The lock shipments will be accompanied by a support kit, delivered separately, containing a program guide and other materials such as a Safe Storage for Your Lifestyle infographic and firearm safety DVD.

Agencies may also choose to purchase additional Project ChildSafe gun locks from NSSF, at cost, to supplement the allotment provided through the Cabela’s Outdoor Fund grant.

NSSF looks forward to working with your agency on this important firearm safety initiative designed to help prevent accidents, theft and misuse.
