ATF Q&A: 4473 Forms
Should 4473s for NFA items be stored in order with all other 4473s, or should they be stored in a separate folder?
It can be done if you retain Forms 4473 by your transaction number and assign an NFA prefix to the numbers for NFA transfers. 27 CFR 478.124 (b) requires retention by alphabetical, chronological or transaction number order.
This question was asked during the NSSF Webinar: The Secrets to All Things NFA
