Editorial Boards Continue to Mislead on Multiple Sales Reporting


While NSSF was announcing its intention to file a lawsuit challenging the legal authority of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to require multiple sales reporting of modern sporting rifles, leading editorial boards, including the Washington Post and New York Times, continued to hail the regulation in an attempt to generate support among the American public.

NSSF has submitted Letters to the Editor to both the New York Times and Washington Post and is continuing its efforts to educate members of Congress on the myriad problems with this regulation.
