Business Automation Specialists of Minnesota Becomes Silver Sponsor of Firearm Industry Compliance Conference

NEWTOWN, Conn. — Orchid Advisors, the firearm industry’s trusted compliance and operations experts, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the firearms industry’s trade association, are pleased to announce that Business Automation Specialists of Minnesota (BASM), developer of Easy Bound Book, has agreed to sponsor the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference (FICC) at the Silver level. The Minneapolis-based company is a Microsoft Dynamics NAV partner, specializing in implementing software for firearms manufactures, importers and dealers. Easy Bound Book offers three levels of electronic record-keeping to meet the needs of various FFLs.

“I’ve known the team from Business Automation Specialists for three years and pleased to have them involved for another year,” said Jon Rydberg, CEO of Orchid Advisors. They have a unique perspective on electronic A&D record-keeping and experience that our attendees can leverage in running their FFLs.”

“As today’s FFLs move toward streamlining everything from payroll and product ordering to inventory maintenance and even their A&D books, it’s critical to have products and companies that can keep pace,” said Larry Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Business Automation Specialists of Minnesota is a company leading the way in business automation processes, and we think their sponsorship of the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference will be very beneficial to those attending.”

Ron Ketterling, President of BASM, agreed. “We know first-hand that this conference benefits attendees in so many ways. We’ve seen it at the conference over the past two years and are excited to see attendance grow this year. Benefits include being exposed to a full range of compliance issues from the ATF and the State Department. It also offers a chance to network with other businesses in the firearms industry, as well as ATF officials.”

Co-hosted by Orchid Advisors and NSSF, the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference will take place May 2-4 in Atlanta, Georgia. The conference theme is highly focused on the future — where regulations are headed, how new developments in product research and development affect Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs), and what processes and technologies FFLs are using to significantly improve their business. Additionally, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will provide focused sessions throughout the conference, offering FFLs an opportunity to interact, ask questions and focus on proactive compliance. In addition to three learning tracks to choose from during the conference, attendees can also take part in one of two pre-conference workshops on May 2. One workshop will cover firearms industry technology, while the other will take an in-depth look at federal firearms regulations.

Seating is limited for this conference and it will sell out, so industry members are encouraged to register now. To learn more about the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference, visit www.ficconference.com. Register and reserve your seat here.
