Winchester Renews as Silver Sponsor of NSSF Rimfire Challenge Program
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) is pleased to announce that Winchester Ammunition has signed on once again as a Silver Sponsor of the Rimfire Challenge. With a company history spanning nearly 150 years, Winchester Ammunition is a global supplier of firearms ammunition and one of the most recognizable brands in the industry. This year marks Winchester’s second as a Silver Sponsor of the NSSF Rimfire Challenge.
The NSSF Rimfire Challenge program focuses on competition with .22-caliber rifles and pistols. Formerly known as the Ruger Rimfire Challenge, matches are designed as a way to introduce new shooters to the shooting sports in an exciting and family friendly format. Open to shooters of all ages and abilities, Rimfire Challenge matches are conducted on ranges nationwide, with a match format that emphasizes safety, fun and ease of access for newcomers.
“We are excited to have Winchester Ammunition join us for the second year in a row in supporting the NSSF Rimfire Challenge at the Silver level,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Manager of Shooting Promotions. “Winchester’s continued commitment to encouraging newcomers to explore the shooting sports is a shining example of a company dedicated to promoting, protecting and preserving our firearms heritage for generations to come.”
“As the industry leader, our support of the NSSF’s Rimfire Challenge is very important,” said Brett Flaugher, Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Strategy, for Winchester Ammunition. “While we pride ourselves on innovative products and excellence in leadership, none of that would be possible without the longstanding tradition and commitment to those individuals coming into the shooting sports.”
Additional Rimfire Challenge sponsorship opportunities for the 2015 match year are available.
