Troy Acoustics CEO Bill Bergiadis to Speak at NSSF Fall Lead Management and OSHA Compliance Workshop
NEWTOWN, Conn.—The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) is pleased to announce that range acoustics expert Bill Bergiadis has joined the growing list of firearms range and retail professionals speaking at the association’s fall Lead Management and OSHA Compliance Workshop, taking place October 16-18 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Bergiadis is the president and CEO of Troy Acoustics. He invented and owns the patented Troy System, used in law enforcement, military, federal municipal and commercial indoor and outdoor shooting ranges across the country and independently rated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as the only acoustic material given an excellent rating for use in a firing range. Bergiadis also co-developed the sound testing procedure for military shooting ranges, which assured compliance with OSHA CFR29 noise exposure limits, and today he is recognized as a shooting range noise subject matter expert due to his extensive experience handling onsite acoustics testing/studies in indoor and outdoor ranges as it relates to noise ordinances and OSHA guidelines.
“We are thrilled to have Bill join our speaker lineup for our fall workshop,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Manager, Shooting Promotions. “His highly specialized expertise will be an invaluable asset to the range owners and operators attending this seminar.”
“It is an honor and privilege to be a part of such a great organization dedicated to assisting those in this industry,” said Bergiadis.
Designed to enable owners and operators of shooting ranges of all sizes an opportunity to discover the latest in lead management and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) best practices, the two-day workshop will focus on environmental and regulatory requirements for both indoor and outdoor shooting facilities, OSHA enforcement and penalty structure, implementation of health and safety plans, medical surveillance and other issues relevant to compliance.
