Smith & Wesson Sponsors 2015 SHOT Show
University at Platinum Level
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that firearms maker Smith & Wesson has signed on as the Platinum Sponsor of the 2015 SHOT Show UniversitySM retailer education seminar. As the premier event for firearms retailers, this program is always a sellout, thanks to its multiple learning tracks geared to address the business needs and practices of retailers both new to the business and those more veteran store and range owners.
“Our commitment to continuing education for firearms retailers across the country and providing the tools they need to succeed is a priority at NSSF,” said Patrick Shay, NSSF Director, Retail Development. “SHOT Show University is the hallmark of that commitment, and we are extremely pleased to have Smith & Wesson show their support both to SHOT Show University itself, as well as to the people who work so hard every day to sell their products.”
“We are honored to return as the Platinum Sponsor for SHOT Show University, in 2015,” said James Debney, President and CEO of Smith & Wesson. “Within our industry, thousands of retail partners across the country connect daily with the consumers who purchase and use our products. The success of those retailers is important to the success of our companies. We are, therefore, eager to sponsor SHOT Show University, which provides retailers with practical training and education designed to help them operate their businesses more efficiently.”
The 2015 SHOT Show University is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2015, the day before the show opens. This year’s University begins with an opening address from renowned executive coach Dr. Linda Talley. From there, University attendees will attend a series of classes in one of four educational tracks: ATF Compliance, Drive Your Sales, Retailing 101 and Veteran Retailer. The day will conclude with a presentation from Afterburner Inc., business performance and planning experts.
New this year, NSSF is providing one complimentary ticket to the event for qualifying Premium Retailer members. More information on this special offer will be emailed to those qualifying members in the near future. Additional tickets, as well as tickets for those wishing to attend who are not Premium Retailer members, are $250.
