Simmons Sporting Goods COO Joins NSSF Retail Advisory Council
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the firearms trade association, is pleased to announce that Hunter Simmons has joined its Retail Advisory Council.
Simmons is the COO of Simmons Sporting Goods, a firearms retail concern in Bastrop, Louisiana. One of the largest retail stores of its kind in the South, Simmons Sporting Goods encompasses more than 70,000 square feet. Simmons grew up working in the store, before joining the executive staff in 2011. He has a degree in Business Management from Louisiana Tech University, is a sitting committee member for Nations Best Sports and is an avid outdoorsman and recreational target shooter.

NSSF’s Retail Advisory Council is comprised of some of the firearm’s industry’s most respected names, who meet regularly to discuss the issues impacting today’s firearms retailers, discover solutions to their challenges and provide guidance for continued success. Simmons is the eighth member to join the Council.
