Sen. Cornyn to co-sponsor excise tax reform legislation

John Cornyn (R-Texas) has become the latest senator to co-sponsor firearms and ammunition excise tax reform legislation, bringing the number of cosponsors to 30. In June, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Firearms Excise Tax Improvement Act of 2010 (HR 5552) by a vote of 412 to 6. The House-passed bill is now pending in the Senate. NSSF is urging all sportsmen, hunters and gun owners to call their senators today (202-224-3121) and urge them to support having the Senate vote on H.R. 5552 before Congress adjourns for the summer.
