Ranges Celebrate National Shooting Sports Month
It’s been a summer of milestones — first with America 250 and now, here in August, National Shooting Sports Month® has returned to mark its 10th anniversary.
This year’s National Shooting Sports Month tagline, “Let Freedom Plink” commemorates the traditions of marksmanship, responsibility and freedom that have brought generations of Americans together through participation in the shooting sports.
Hundreds of ranges, retailers and shooting clubs across the U.S. are welcoming in guests as they celebrate the joy of the shooting sports throughout this monthlong campaign.
Here are three examples of ranges taking a multi-faceted approach to celebrating National Shooting Sports Month:
- Lake Erie Arms is leveraging its National Shooting Sports Month participation to increase membership and support another key initiative, the +ONE® Movement. In addition, it’s holding a two-day event to encourage range guests to bring their families for some indoor and outdoor fun.
- At Arkansas Armory, the range is going all in on the #RangeChallenge, encouraging members to engage in some friendly competition — the range guest with the top-performing cumulative score across two rounds will receive a Stevens shotgun.
- Across both of its facilities, Freedom Armory is leaning into the competition segment of its customer base to ramp up its presence in the market. With the busy fall hunting season quickly following, the Freedom Armory team is hosting an expansive sale for hunters in its retail stores while also holding special events on the range.
Not Too Late to Participate!
