Open Letter from Recreational Industry Executives on ‘Keeping the GREAT in the Great Outdoors’
More than 100 outdoor recreation industry leaders, including Steve Sanetti, President and CEO of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, were signatories on an open letter published yesterday in The Wall Street Journal that applauded the agenda of the Trump Administration and Department of the Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke for emphasizing and prioritizing outdoor recreation on federal lands.
The letter read, in part, “Secretary Zinke, a strong supporter of the $887 billion outdoor recreation industry, is working closely with the Outdoor Recreation Industry Roundtable to increase access to recreational opportunities and enjoyment on all federal lands and waters.”
The outdoor recreation industry includes the shooting sports, hunting, archery, fishing, marine, camping, hospitality, recreational vehicle, motorcycle and powersports sectors.
