NSSF Wins APEX Awards

The National Shooting Sports Foundation has received coveted APEX Awards recognizing excellence in publications by professional communicators for its weekly newsletter Bullet Points and the video “The National Shooting Sports Foundation: A History 1961-2011.”

NSSF is honored to receive the prizes given that with more than 3,300 entries the competition was intense.

Bullet Points earned a Grand Award in the NonProfit Small Office Newsletter category. NSSF’s 50th Anniversary video earned an Award of Excellence in the Special Purpose Electronic Media and Video Publications category.

“These awards recognize the outstanding work produced by the entire staff of NSSF,” said Chris Dolnack, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “Both Bullet Points and the video chronicle the effective work done by NSSF to promote participation and safety, protect our industry and firearms freedoms and preserve our hunting and shooting traditions.”

Bullet Points covers news of importance to the firearms and shooting sports industry. Its subscribers include industry professionals and shooting sports enthusiasts, and its content is widely distributed on many websites and blogs. NSSF’s 50th Anniversary video, which can be viewed at www.nssf.org/50, captures the accomplishments of a half century of promoting, protecting and preserving hunting and the shooting sports by NSSF. The award was the second major honor for the video, which was produced in-house. In June, the video was voted a Bronze Telly Award in the 2011 People’s Telly Awards.
