NSSF Calls for 2017 SHOT Show University Presentation Submissions
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, has announced its call for presentations to be delivered at the 2017 SHOT Show University. Taking place the day before the annual SHOT Show opens, SHOT Show University is a comprehensive educational workshop for retailers covering topics ranging from compliance and marketing to security technology, human resources best practices and trending sales. The NSSF is also calling for presentations to be delivered at the 2017 SHOT Show’s Retailer Education Seminars, which take place throughout the show week.
The 2017 SHOT Show University will take place Monday, January 16. It is the premier event of the year for firearms retailers. This day-long session features both keynote addresses and breakout sessions that cover all facets of retail operations from leadership and management to compliance and retailing best practices.
NSSF’s Retailer Education Seminars take place during three days of the 2017 SHOT Show, which runs January 17-20. Seminars in the past have covered topics such as selling used firearms, working with NFA sales, improving connections with women hunters and how to diversify your customer base.
Audience: The audience for both educational experiences is made up largely of independent firearms retailers ranging from small one- and two-man operators to those that staff dozens of employees and have several locations in their region.
