NSSF Announces Customs Broker Deringer as Bronze Sponsor of Import/Export Conference
NEWTOWN, Conn. – The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the American firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Vermont-based Deringer has signed on as a Bronze Sponsor for the upcoming Import/Export Conference. The largest privately held customs broker in the country, with more than 30 service centers, Deringer is a provider of integrated supply chain solutions such as international transportation and freight forwarding, customs brokerage, customs compliance consulting and cargo insurance, among other services.
Taking place August 4-5 in Washington, D.C., the NSSF and FAIR Trade Group Import/Export Conference gathers industry professionals to discuss the many compliance issues facing today’s U.S. firearms and accessory makers negotiating the complexities involved in doing business with other countries.
“We are very pleased to have Deringer join the 2015 Import/Export Conference as a Bronze Sponsor,” said Melissa Schilling, NSSF Director, Exhibitions and Conferences. “This company’s expertise in securely and safely moving goods across international lines and overseas is sure to prove invaluable to conference attendees seeking to expand their enterprises beyond the U.S.”
“Deringer has many reputable firearms customers, so we chose to sponsor this event to support our customers and the firearms industry,” said Donna Kavanaugh, Deringer’s Logistics Regulatory Specialist. “Compliance is a high priority for Deringer and we understand that laws and regulations change regularly. It’s important for shippers and logistics providers to stay current with these changes and to understand which government agencies are responsible for enforcing the regulations relevant to their import and export shipments. We hope everyone takes full advantage of the government contacts available at the conference and leaves feeling they have resources available to them that they can reach out to in the future.”
A joint presentation of NSSF and the FAIR Trade Group, the 2015 Import/Export Conference is the firearms industry’s premier educational event for manufacturers and others in the supply chain doing business internationally or considering such expansion. Additional sponsorship opportunities for this conference are still available.
