NSSF Announces 2013 Retailer Education Seminars

NSSF has expanded the number of free Retailer Education Seminars it will offer this year to a dozen, an increase of four in order to satisfy demand.

The seminars bring together federally licensed firearms retailers and NSSF consultants retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, plus an expert on the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System. Each of NSSF’s retired ATF consultants has more than 33 years experience at ATF, and the NICS liaison has 15 years experience at FBI.

Topics covered in the seminars will include properly filling out the 4473 form, inventory control, store security, straw-purchase awareness and the NICS background check process. Each seminar wraps up with a question-and-answer session.

The 2013 Retailer Education Seminar series recently kicked off with a filled-to-capacity session in Fort Lauderdale this month.

The 2013 schedule:

  • Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — Feb. 12
  • Nashville, Tenn. — March 12
